Sesame Caesar Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp tahini (sesame paste) or toasted sesame oil
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free option)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Water, as needed (to thin the dressing if desired)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients

    • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, tahini or sesame oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.

  2. Adjust Consistency

    • If you prefer a thinner dressing, add water 1 teaspoon at a time, whisking until you reach your desired consistency.

  3. Taste and Adjust

    • Taste the dressing and adjust seasonings if needed—add a touch more lemon juice for extra tang or more Parmesan for cheesiness.

  4. Serve

    • Drizzle over your salad and toss to coat. This dressing pairs especially well with crisp romaine, shredded cabbage, or even a blend of greens.
