Our Story

Ripi started with two friends—one a die-hard foodie who always knew where to find the best dishes in town, and the other, an acclaimed pasta chef who has been on countless TV shows.

In the summer of 2020 ("peak-COVID"), Ian had a lightbulb moment as he was looking at some of the frozen pasta options in his neighborhood grocery store. Feeling uninspired by the choices in that freezer aisle and yearning for the type of quality he'd come to love from great restaurants throughout NYC and LA, Ian texted Joe with an idea: how can they bring true restaurant-quality pasta to the masses? Joe was immediately hooked and from there, the two spent  the next few years tinkering with countless recipe ideas and slowly bringing this idea to life!

At Ripi, our mission is simple: we handle the hard stuff so you can enjoy more of the good stuff. We source the best ingredients from sustainable farms, craft every bite with care, and flash-freeze our pasta at peak freshness. Whether it’s slow-braised short rib, roasted sweet potato, or gooey chicken parm, each ravioli is packed with flavors you’d expect from a top restaurant—but made to enjoy from your couch or wherever life takes you.
